As you may know from previous posts, the Language of Friendship team believes in celebrating birthdays as a way of encouraging connection and appreciating the important people in our lives. Today is Juliaβs birthday, and I would like to dedicate this space to her today and send my happiest birthday wishes! Julia has been a loving presence in my life for well over 40+(!) years. I continue to be grateful for our friendship and look forward to more of our adventures together in the coming years.
To make this day extra special for Julia, Iβve reached out to a few of her longtime and cherished friends who wanted to offer birthday wishes. Each message illustrates a unique bond, but together, they convey a throughline of shared memories and ongoing connection. A true birthday blessing!
- Julia, You are such a special friend. Weβve traveled together, traded secrets and celebrated your wedding. You are a beautiful paradox. You are our quiet, career-focused incredibly intelligent friend with an unexpectedly wild and fun side. Our life is definitely richer with you in it. Happy birthday, dear friend! Looking forward to celebrating you in a few weeks and for many years to come.βLumi S. & Shiva M.
- Happy birthday Julia! Hope you have an amazing celebration and cheers to many more! So glad our paths crossed all those years ago in Scouts. Love you, friend!!βJulie M
- Happy birthday, Julia! Hope you have a wonderful day full of your favorite people and things. βJanet M.
- Happy birthday, Julia! I was thinking about our junior high and high school days, and it made me smile. Did you know you were one of my first friends in junior high school? I hope your day is full of good things and this is your best year yet! XOβAlex R.
- From French classes to fondue parties to drive-ins with wine coolers, you have been a constant friend through all the chapters of my life. Your friendship has always been a source of laughter, spunkiness and joy. Weβve grown up together, celebrated lifeβs milestones and supported each other through its challenges and changes. I am so grateful for the countless memories weβve shared and for the unwavering friendship youβve given me over the years. Thank you for always being you! Happy birthday Julia! Wishing you a birthday filled with everything you love!βMichele T.
- Happy birthday, Julia! How many people can say theyβre still close friends with their Junior High BFFs? Iβm so lucky! When I think of you, Iβm bombarded with memories of going to Beaumont dances, sleepovers, and Kings Island: then on to high school parties, the drive-in, and visits to Keeneland when we acted older than we were! Now Iβm still lucky to know the beautiful woman you are. We may live far apart, but every time we get together we become those laughing 13-year-old girls seated beside each other in Homeroom. Love you, friend! βJulie B.
- When I started high school, my friend group from junior high and earlier all went their separate ways. Thank goodness for French class, the first place I met Julia. She was so funny, smart and inclusive. She is still that way! She invited me to a Lafayette basketball game with Michele and Julie, and the rest is history. We all became fast friends. I was not only welcomed into her tribe of friends, but also her family. Everyone felt welcome at her house. It was a special night when we got the wag, the car she shared with her siblings. We continued on with French class with Madame Evans, even though I was speaking Kentucky Fried French! Julia was Student Council President, president of National Honor Society and lots of other smart kid stuff, who would suspect her! We loved to sing in the car, cruise around and eat crazy bread from Little Caesarβs (where I worked) and flirt with boys. We probably still do! There are a handful of friendships that last a lifetime and this is one of those. Iβll always be grateful for Juliaβs inclusive heart.Β Happy birthday, Jules! Nobody knows how to spike a fondue and get away with it quite like you! βJennifer M.

Cheers to the birthday girl!
