Summer Intentions

Summer in the Midwest is something we look forward to most of the year, but the season can feel fleeting. After a busy month of May, I hope to find some time this holiday weekend to pause and set some intentions for the season ahead. Despite long days, summer can pass by quickly. Without some intentionality, it’s easy to find ourselves in September wondering where the time went.

Intention is the core of all conscious life. Conscious intention colors and moves everything.

Taking a few moments to look inward can help us be intentional about how we engage with other people and the experiences that await us in the coming months.

Following are some questions I will be pondering this weekend. Will you join me?

  • What connections do I most want to nurture this summer?
  • In what ways do I want to spend time outside in the coming months?
  • Are there any health goals I want to work on this summer?
  • At the end of the season, what are the two or three things I most want to have done?
