Giving Thanks

Thanksgiving has long been one of my favorite holidays. This year’s was especially meaningful, spent with extended family and friends near Washington, DC., after the small gatherings of 2020 when air travel was highly discouraged. This Thanksgiving I was reminded of my many blessings. As Thanksgiving weekend is fleeting, we’d like to share some of our favorite quotes that prompt us to pause, reflect and express gratitude, whatever the time of year.

“For me, every hour is grace. And I feel gratitude in my heart each time I can meet someone and look at his or her smile.” – Elie Wiesel

“Be thankful for what you have; you’ll end up having more. If you concentrate on what you don’t have, you will never, ever have enough.” – Oprah Winfrey

“There is no better way to thank God for your sight than by giving a helping hand to someone in the dark.” – Helen Keller

“Acknowledging the good that you already have in your life is the foundation for all abundance.” – Eckhart Tolle

“As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words but to live by them.” – John F. Kennedy
