Father’s Day is this weekend, an annual celebration of the dads and father figures who shape our lives. There are many ways to recognize the everyday heroes who quietly helped raise us, and then guide us through adulthood.
For me and Sara, we’ve shared in our writing the impact our own dads have on our lives. Our dads had a lot in common, two quiet intellectuals who raised several smart and spirited children.

In honor of our husbands, two wonderful dads who model love to their children and so many others each day, and in memory of my dad and in honor of Sara’s, we like to say thank you to all the dads, bonus dads and father figures out there. You are appreciated more than words can express.
